Malawi: What do rural youth need for a better employment situation?

This study, using interviews across four districts in Malawi, highlights agriculture as a main income source but notes barriers like limited financial access, poor infrastructure, and market saturation. Stakeholders recommend promoting business diversification, strengthening the business environment, and providing training to drive economic growth and job creation, while encouraging youth empowerment and a shift towards self-employment in the sector.
