Pelagie Palé from southwest Burkina Faso has successfully increased and diversified her agricultural production through mixed cropping despite challenges with finance, land, and fertilizers. At just 23, she has significantly boosted her yield and aims to further expand her operations, with the goal of creating employment opportunities for other young people. Pelagie’s efforts illustrate how agroecology can drive ecological and economic transformation while addressing unemployment in Sub-Saharan Africa by fostering innovative agricultural practices and generating new job opportunities.
