Why is menstrual health crucial for women’s employment? In Malawi, over 70% of girls and women face challenges such as missing a week of school each month, struggling to attend training, or being disadvantaged in business activities due to poor menstrual hygiene. The “Empowering Youth and Women in Agribusiness” (EYA! ATVET) project addresses this by raising awareness and distributing menstrual cups to female participants in their agribusiness training. Despite their small size, these cups have a significant impact on women’s lives and their economic participation.
